Reflection blog post

This assignment was a great experience because you get the opportunity to speak your mind and also get a chance to see how others feel about teaching. Most memorable for me was to just see how I can relate to other bloggers. I learned how strong I really felt about this profession. And the drive I have to make a difference and to contribute to our country. I was surprised on how all my fellow students are passionate about teaching   

                                                                                                                            

 The most useful thing I learned is that blogging can help a lot with confessions that I have. Learning from others was also useful. After every blog I felt good. It felt therapeutic. During this assignment I had an idea to create a blog for teachers who struggle with everyday challenges for example dealing with trouble learners or having creative problems. Friends and family don't like a person who talk about their jobs all the time. So this will create a platform to help each other. During this assignment I could relate to others passion for teaching. Blogging give you the space to excel.

The purpose of this  assignment is to ensure that we gain the familiarity with blogging and practice a venue for discussion class topics. Overall I think the important point of this assignment was to identify if this profession is for you. And made you think about your career choice. I love to teach and it also made me felt right at place.                                                                                                          

The use of technology used in our course I can connect to this. We use technology and social media that benefit the teaching process. If this can help us as students it can also help learners at school. At first I struggle but at the end it was easy.                                                                                                                                    

What I would change about this assignment is to first have a session with students who are not computer literate. And that case it will help with the setting up of the blog. Struggling with the blog made me lose interest at first and I didn't see the purpose of the blog. But at the end I enjoyed it.                                                                         

 The assignment impact me a lot and had given me the opportunity to share and learn from others. Keeping up with changes and really expressed my feelings. In the "real world" this assignment would be effective. Always sharing information. But as students you don't have time to blog all the time or everyday.                                                                                   

 I love what I do and anything that challenge me I see as an opportunity. It will only help my character. I'm proud that I'm a strong individual who can cope with challenges. If I can start over I would blog everyday and find more time to read others posts.   

Reflection on the process of blogging

Blogging- At first setting up the blog was difficult. And struggling with something always makes me lose interest. Then I got up and running and it was enjoyable. The experience was remarkable and reading how other students felt was interesting. I would recommend blogging sharing is caring. The process of blogging really made me realize how fortuned I was for choosing such a magnificent an remarkable profession.

Integrating social media in the classroom

It is necessary to integrate social media in the classroom.     In this era it is very important, content can be the same but the way it's presented can be different. Using technology through social media can help. It's important that learners are exposed to all the social medias used. In that way can you as a teacher teach them the correct and proper way to use social media. To equip and expose learners will help them in the long run. Learners love social media so why not incorporate it in your subjects. Social media can also help teachers to share ideas and implementing it in the classroom. Social media is also helping teachers to keep up with changes. And hold a forum for struggling teachers.

Teaching Practice Experience

Teaching Practice- Obviously different then what I was expecting but in a good way. Big ups for CPUT Wellington for preparing us what to expect. I enjoyed my first time of teaching practice.                             What I learned- The way learners act merely depends on how the teacher is acting. Teaching Practice made me realize how honorable this profession is and there is no place I rather be. I need to be strict and lay down some rules but do it in a proper way.

How do I see myself as a teacher

I see myself as a fun loving teacher with boundaries. I would be compassionate with every student in my class. As I don't know where every student is coming from. I want students in my classroom to see learning and being at school in a whole different perspective. My main goal is to equip my students with knowledge but most important help prepare them for real life.

Why I want to be a teacher............

I feel strong that I can make a difference in the life of others. Being a teacher will give me the base to do that. Becoming a teacher to me means helping to shape another person by teaching and instructing them. I do feel it is important that you love what you do. And I do want to play a constructive role in society and want to do the best for our country. Working with students and investing in them is my dream. This is a very important profession where parents place their trust in you and the community respects you.

 I want to become a teacher because I truly have a passion for making a difference in others lives. I feel that teaching is perhaps one of the most satisfying jobs in life. Becoming a teacher is a huge responsibility with many obstacles.

This is also a profession where I will be a life long learner and I would love that. Enriching myself is also important.
